Who we are

Shifu Intel (“Shifu Intel,” “we,” “us”) is a business dashboard and public booking platform for session-based solopreneurs — yoga teachers, coaches, therapists, tutors, and similar independent practitioners. Shifu Intel is currently an independently operated, solo project and is not yet incorporated as a registered company. For the purposes of this policy, references to “we” mean the individual operating Shifu Intel.

What we collect

We collect different data depending on how you use Shifu Intel:

• Practitioner account data — email address, and password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in that way).
• Business profile data — business name, bio, logo, brand color, contact email/phone, and social handles you choose to publish.
• Client records you create — names, emails, phone numbers, and notes you enter about your own clients. You control this data; we store it on your behalf as a processor, we do not use it for our own purposes.
• Guest booking data — name, email, and phone number submitted by someone booking a session through your public page.
• Payment data — handled directly by Stripe; Shifu Intel never sees or stores full card numbers. We store the resulting subscription/charge status and amounts.
• Reviews — name, star rating, and written quote submitted by a guest reviewing your business.
• Public page visit & link-click data — device type, browser, approximate country/city, referrer, and which link was clicked, tied to an anonymous visitor cookie rather than an identity, used to show the practitioner analytics about their own page.

How we use it

We use collected data to operate the service: authenticating you, running your public booking page, matching guest bookings to client records, processing payments and subscriptions, displaying your Insights metrics, and providing support if you contact us. We do not sell personal data. We use PostHog for product analytics — understanding which features practitioners use so we can improve the app — and Sentry for error monitoring, so we can catch and fix bugs. Neither is an advertising or cross-site tracking tool, and neither is used on the public booking pages guests see; PostHog identifies practitioners (not guests) by account email and name.

Who we share it with

Shifu Intel runs on a small set of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing for practitioner subscriptions (Stripe Billing) and client payments collected at booking (Stripe Connect). Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• PostHog — product analytics on the practitioner-facing dashboard.
• Sentry — error monitoring, so we can catch and fix bugs.
• Resend and Twilio — send booking confirmation/reminder emails and texts, where a practitioner has configured them.

We do not otherwise share personal data with third parties.

Cookies

Shifu Intel uses the essential session cookies Supabase Auth sets to keep you logged in, and a first-partyshifu_vidcookie set on public booking pages to distinguish repeat visitors from new ones for a business's link-click analytics (device type, browser, country/city, referrer, and which link or page was visited). PostHog also sets its own cookies/local storage for practitioners signed into the dashboard. None of this is shared with ad networks or used to track you across other, unrelated websites.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us — see Contact below.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you're a guest who booked a session or left a review through someone's Shifu Intel page, contact that practitioner directly first, since they control their own client records — or contact us and we'll help route the request.

Children

Shifu Intel is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Shifu Intel grows. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
